About the Founder: Gustavo Firmino
Gustavo Gomes Firmino is the Founder and CEO of Thrive MMA Management.
Gustavo was born on November 18th, 1982, in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He's currently based in Bali, Indonesia.
Gustavo holds an undergraduate degree in computer networks plus an Executive MBA (Master in Business Administration) specializing in Project Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
My Story
Prior MMA - Career in IT/Telecom
Gustavo's professional career started in IT / Telecommunications. Gustavo worked for over 10 years in this industry, acquiring an extensive experience in IT/Telecom working for Verizon Enterprise Solutions, in various functions including solutions architecture, design/implementation engineering, project management, team leadership, and strategic consulting professional services on large scale transition and transformation programs for fortune500 corporations worldwide in the banking and other major industries.

Work with BRAVE Combat Federation: Former Executive Director and Matchmaker
Gustavo joined BRAVE Combat Federation in 2017, when BRAVE CF was in the process of planning its 3rd edition and very first international event, which would then be hosted in Curitiba, Brazil. In 2019, Gustavo moved to Bahrain to work from BRAVE CF's headquarters. During his work with BRAVE CF, Gustavo got involved in various departments of the MMA promotion, including: events planning and operations, projects management, business and partnerships development to organize co-promotional events with other MMA organizations, and finally, matchmaker.

Thrive MMA Management
Sometime after Gustavo had left BRAVE CF to pursue new endeavors in the Crypto/Web3 industry, Gustavo realized that the biggest passion in his involvement in MMA was to work directly with the athletes. As a martial arts practitioner himself, Gustavo found his purpose in working to support the development of MMA athletes, joining them in the journey.

In 2023, Gustavo founded Thrive MMA Management. Combining Gustavo's experience in the MMA sport and the strong relationships with athletes, coaches, and other MMA organizations, that have been cultivated during many years working in the industry, the company has expanded quickly and currently provides career management services to MMA athletes from the Middle East, Europe, and Asia.
In just a few months of operations, Thrive MMA Management has signed athletes with major MMA organizations, including: UFC, PFL, BRAVE CF, Ares FC, Hexagone, and UAE Warriors.
